Starting from scratch in a new community can be hard work and it can also be lonely.
If you have recently moved to Greater Victoria, you are probably facing some of the challenges that all of us Victoria Evening Newcomers have faced.
The good news is that you do not have to do it alone. For the past twenty years, VENC has provided a lifeline for women settling in Greater Victoria. Through events and activities the Club offers opportunities to make new friends, discover new interests and have fun.
VENC will be a welcoming community for as long as you like. Some of us have just recently joined; some of us have been members for many years. We know our community well and enjoy helping newcomers find their feet.
Greater Victoria is a wonderful place to live and Victoria Evening Newcomers’ Club can help make your transition to your new life in a new place a little bit easier.
We hope you will join us! Click here to join.
Check out our site, come to one of our events and settle in among friends. Learn more...
New membership is open to all women who have lived in the greater Victoria area for less than three years or five years if you have refugee status ( Note: the two pandemic years 2020 and 2021 are not counted! )
Enquiries about joining are welcome. Please contact VENCMembership@gmail.com.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES: UPDATE
(& COVID-19 RESTART Safety Plan)
Although COVID restrictions have been lifted, people and organizations may choose to continue observing COVID protocols. Given that COVID continues to be present, individual VENC hosts can decide which protective measures are appropriate for activities that take place inside their homes, or while carpooling.
Let's continue to self-evaluate before attending a gathering, and to respect the wishes of individual hosts.
By being kind and patient with each other, we can continue to make new friends and greet old friends while enjoying this beautiful area we call home.
